Definition of Interest

Interest in learning is one of the factors supporting the succes of the learning process.  In addition, interest also a supporting factors to students success  in activities, therefore learning interest need special attention from teacher to help facilitate in guilding  and directing childrent in learning. To achieve good learning outcomes needed to support the learning methods of students in activities teaching learning. If an institution has a good learning method and the students have learned a good interest will surely produce a satisfactory learning outcomes.Interest is very important in taching learning proces. Particularly, for achievement the maximum attaiment. Interest is atendecy to the something (Poerbakwatja, 1982.65). Interest can determine the success of  the an success of student in learning either in outside of cllass or their home.

Simanjutak, (1986 :72) explain that interest is subject attitude toward something on needed and it will fulfilled it self it also state psychology interest has actual meaning and dispossession meaning. Actual meaning is through to something that always there in spesific column actual interest is called a basic attention teaching learning proces.

Mahmud in Dewi (2014), because that interest is a driving force that compels a person to pay attention to people, situations or certain activities and not on others, or interest as a result of which effective experience distimular by the presence of a person or an object, or for participating in an activity

So interest is the tendency or direction of a desire for something to satisfy an impulse, an impulse of interest within the influence of motion and the would to something, a strong impetus for someone to do everything in realizing the achievement of the goals and ideals into his desire.

Arikunto.1993:104I, say that interest in a person's tendency to selector eject an activity, actually sought not only activity but also objects, people and situations with a larger sense. The element sire the center of attention at school students can be learning materials, learning tool used, the situation class and the teacher's own environment student sire interested in having an interest or concern about something then the whole power of the soul would be poured out on what is considered.

From the above description can be conclude that the learning process without interest will be very hard to do. If the child since have an interest to learned English, the child will be serious in the learning process and will be accompanied by feelings of pleasure, lack of attention, and the activity in each do their lessons.

Based on various definitions of interest and read it then it can be concluded that the definition of an element of interest to read:

1. Interest and pleasure in reading activities
2. The existence of satisfaction after reading activities
3. The emergence of interest in reading can occur because of the habit of reading
4. The existence of a reading comprehension
